Cillstifiann is a restored stone house on the sea front, in Lahinch, Co. Clare, Ireland. The house is 150-200 years old, nobody seems to know for sure. It's the blue house at the top of The Prom. The house has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, two sitting rooms, two kitchens and two enclosed sun porches with comfy chairs. There are three double beds and six singles. Facilities include oil fired central heating, two open fires, a wood/turf burning stove in the kitchen in addition to an electric stove, two TVs that get Irish and English stations, plus CNN, CNN News and MTV, VCR and DVD players, CD/Cassette player, microwave, coffee pots, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The house comes equipped with feather duvets, sheets and towels and the kitchen is fully stocked. If you like to cook and use ingredients from the pantry, please feel free to leave something else for the next set of guests. Everything is included in the price, apart from any phone calls you may make. The land line in the house is not available to guests but there is a mobile phone for your use. We also have wireless broadband if you bring your laptop but no tech support if it's not working!

Clare lies between Galway and Kerry on the west coast of Ireland, close to the Burren , the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The closest airport is Shannon , thirty miles away, which is an international airport. Allow one hour for the journey because of the roads. Allow four and a half to five hours if you are coming from Dublin Airport. Cillstifiann has wondeful sea views from each floor and is just around the corner from the pubs, shops, restaurants and Catholic church.

Golf: Lahinch is often referred to as the St. Andrews of Ireland and is very much a golfing village. There are two 18 golf courses, one of them the famous Championship Course. If you're not a serious golfer there is a great 18 hole Links Pitch and Putt or Par Three course just a mile away, on the road to the Cliffs of Moher. Click on these links (no pun intended), to read more about Lahinch and the Golf Club. The Greg Norman designed course at Doonbeg is just 12 miles away.

Surfing:People don't usually think of Ireland and surfing in the same breath but Lahinch has some of the best surf in Ireland. The village has three busy surf schools that cater for all skill levels and ages http://www.lahinchsurfschool.com/

You can check out the surf cam every day at www.oceanscene.ie

For those rainy or stormy days there is a 25 meter indoor pool, aquarium and Sammy Shark Playzone at Sea World. They also have a sauna and jacuzzi and are about to open a gym.
